KHUZDAR – A tragic terrorist attack in Balochistan has claimed the life of a police officer. A lady constable was martyred during the incident in Khuzdar District on April 19, 2026.
Police confirmed that lady constable Malik Naz lost her life in the Bajoi area attack. The incident was carried out by unidentified terrorists, according to initial reports.
The martyred officer was serving in the Levies Force. She had joined the force in 2013 under the Shaheed quota. This was after her husband was also killed in a targeted attack in 2011.
Officials said the lady constable continued her husband’s legacy with courage and dedication. She remained committed to her duty despite personal loss.
Malik Naz is survived by her son and two daughters. Her sacrifice has been widely acknowledged by law enforcement authorities.
In the same attack, another officer, a head constable, also lost his life. Both personnel were honored in their funeral prayers held in Quetta.
Senior officials, including DIG Khuzdar Wazir Khan Nasir, attended the funeral. Police officers and local citizens also joined the prayers. Both martyrs were laid to rest with full state honours.
The role of the lady constable has been highlighted as an example of bravery and service. Officials praised her commitment to maintaining law and order in a difficult region.
Meanwhile, security forces continue operations in other parts of the country. The military’s media wing reported a separate intelligence-based operation in Bannu.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said two terrorists linked to a banned group were killed during the operation. Weapons and a suicide jacket were also recovered.
Authorities said the operation followed intelligence reports about militant presence in the area.
The sacrifice of the lady constable has once again highlighted the risks faced by law enforcement personnel in Balochistan. Officials say such incidents reflect ongoing security challenges in the region.
