Over 5,000 Pakistani Pilgrims Reach Madinah As Hajj Flights Continue Smoothly

Pakistan’s nationwide Hajj 2026 travel plan is moving forward at a fast pace. The government has increased efforts to ensure smooth travel for pilgrims. The ongoing flight operation is helping thousands of pilgrims reach Saudi Arabia safely.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, more than 5,250 government-sponsored pilgrims have already reached Madinah. They traveled through 21 successful flights. Officials said the process is running in an organized and planned manner.

Today, a new batch of pilgrims is also departing. Around 3,510 pilgrims will travel on 13 flights. The flight operation includes multiple major cities across Pakistan. Four flights will depart from Islamabad. Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Quetta will each operate two flights. Sialkot will also contribute one flight to the schedule.

Authorities confirmed that the flight operation is being handled by multiple airlines. These include Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Saudia, Airblue, and AirSial. Coordination between airlines is ensuring smooth scheduling and minimal delays.

Officials added that the entire system is running under strict monitoring. Staff members are present at airports in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They are assisting pilgrims throughout their journey. This support is helping maintain efficiency in the ongoing flight operation.

Pre-Hajj preparations are also continuing across the country. Training sessions, medical checks, and documentation support are being provided. These arrangements are taking place in 10 dedicated Hajj camps nationwide.

The ministry confirmed that the flight operation will continue without interruption until May 31. Authorities are focusing on maintaining discipline and smooth passenger flow during peak travel days.

Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines resumed Hajj flights from Faisalabad International Airport after four years. On April 19, the first flight carried 150 pilgrims to Madinah. Officials, including Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen and MPA Ahmed Shahryar, saw off the pilgrims.

PIA is expected to operate 15 flights from Faisalabad to Madinah. It will also run nine flights to Jeddah as part of the wider Hajj operation plan.

Overall, the ongoing flight operation reflects strong coordination between airlines and government departments. The system aims to ensure safe, timely, and well-managed travel for all pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia.
