WhatsApp has officially started testing its new subscription service called WhatsApp Plus in selected regions worldwide. The feature is currently in a limited rollout phase. It is not available for all users yet.
The testing includes countries such as Pakistan, Europe, and Mexico. Early reports suggest that WhatsApp Plus is designed to offer advanced features for enhanced user experience.
According to data shared by WABetaInfo, a platform known for tracking WhatsApp updates, the subscription pricing has now been revealed. In Pakistan, WhatsApp Plus will cost Rs. 230 per month. This makes it more affordable compared to many other regions. In Europe, the price is set at โฌ2.49 per month. In Mexico, it will cost MXN 29 per month.
The WhatsApp Plus subscription includes several new and upgraded features. These features aim to improve personalization and chat management for users.
One of the key highlights is the increase in chat pinning limits. Users will be able to pin up to 20 chats. This is a major upgrade from the free version, which allows only 3 pinned chats. The feature is helpful for users managing many conversations daily.
Another major addition in WhatsApp Plus is premium ringtones. Subscribers will get access to 10 exclusive new ringtones. These tones are designed to offer more customization options for notifications.
The service also introduces premium sticker packs. These stickers include animated effects that appear on both sender and receiver screens. Even non-subscribers can view these enhanced animations during chats.
Customization is a strong focus of WhatsApp Plus. Users will be able to select from 18 new app themes. These include multiple color options like Royal Purple, Forest Green, Coral Orange, and more.
In addition, 14 new app icons will be available. These icons feature different styles such as minimalist designs, glowing effects, and textured visuals. Users can personalize their app appearance according to their preferences.
Another useful feature allows bulk settings for chats. Users can apply themes and tones across multiple conversations at once. This makes chat management more consistent and efficient.
However, WhatsApp Plus is still under testing. It is currently available only to selected Android beta users. A wider release, including iOS support, is expected later.
