In an official message, Sharif thanked Trump for accepting Pakistan’s request to extend the Iran ceasefire. He said the decision helps prevent a return to conflict, at least for now. The prime minister also conveyed appreciation on behalf of Asim Munir, who supported the appeal for de-escalation.
Sharif stressed that Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role. He said the country remains committed to peaceful dialogue. According to him, trust and cooperation are key to resolving the crisis. He also expressed hope that all sides will respect the Iran ceasefire and avoid further escalation.

Meanwhile, President Trump confirmed a temporary pause in military actions against Iran. In a late-night statement, he announced the extension of the ceasefire. He also postponed a previous deadline that required Tehran to reach an agreement.
