ISLAMABAD โ€“ New Business Hours Announced For Shops And Markets In Capital

Authorities in Islamabad have introduced revised timings for commercial activities across the city. The updated schedule requires most businesses to close earlier than before.

Under the new policy, all shops, markets, and shopping malls in Islamabad must shut down by 8:00 PM. Officials said the decision applies to most commercial areas in the capital as part of efforts to regulate operating hours.

The latest announcement is expected to impact retailers and traders across different sectors. Business owners have been asked to follow the updated rules without delay.

However, several essential services have been exempted from the new restrictions. Hospitals, pharmacies, petrol pumps, CNG stations, and dairy shops will continue operating under their normal schedules.

Officials said these services are necessary for daily public needs and will remain available without time limitations.

The revised policy also offers some flexibility to food-related outlets. Restaurants, bakeries, tandoors, grocery stores, and similar businesses can stay open until 10:00 PM.

Authorities clarified that takeaway and delivery services will continue without restrictions. Customers will still be able to place food orders after dine-in closing hours.

The New Business schedule also applies to entertainment and event venues. Wedding halls, marquees, gyms, sports clubs, and similar facilities must close by 10:00 PM.

District officials said strict implementation of the new rules will be ensured across Islamabad. Authorities urged traders and the public to cooperate with the updated timings.

The administration believes the revised New Business hours will help improve regulation in commercial areas. Officials warned that violations could lead to action against businesses that fail to comply.
