Pakistan Finalises Hajj 2026 Arrangements For 180,000 Pilgrims

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has completed major arrangements for Hajj 2026, according to Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf. He said no additional cost will be charged to pilgrims under the current plan.

The minister confirmed that around 180,000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj 2026 this year. Out of this total, 120,000 pilgrims will travel under the government scheme, while 60,000 will go through private operators.

He said Hajj flight operations will begin on April 18. Authorities have also introduced a new flight route from Lahore to Saudi Arabia to make travel easier for pilgrims.

Previously, the route mainly operated between Karachi and Islamabad. Officials said the new Lahore route will reduce travel difficulties for many passengers. Flights from other cities will continue as planned.

The minister said all arrangements for Hajj 2026 have been completed in advance. These include flight schedules, accommodation, food services, and transport facilities in Saudi Arabia.

He added that the Ministry of Religious Affairs is working closely with private companies to regulate Umrah services and improve facilities for pilgrims. Officials want to ensure that travelers receive quality services during their religious journey.

The government also plans to fully utilize Pakistanโ€™s Hajj quota this year. Authorities said this reflects their commitment to helping citizens perform Hajj smoothly and safely.

Saudi Arabia has also been appreciated for supporting Pakistani pilgrims and making arrangements easier. The minister described relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as strong and cooperative.

Officials said every effort is being made to make Hajj 2026 well-organized and comfortable. The government hopes this yearโ€™s pilgrimage will set a high standard for future operations.
