ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has invited applications for the selection of Community WELFARE Attachés for postings in Pakistan’s missions abroad.
According to an official circular, government officers working in BS-18 and BS-19 can apply for these WELFARE positions if they meet the required criteria.
Officials said BS-18 officers must not be older than 40 years as of April 15, 2026. For BS-19 officers, the age limit is 48 years on the same date.
The ministry said April 15, 2026, is also the final deadline to submit applications. Candidates must complete the process online through the official application portal.
Authorities clarified that handwritten or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applicants must follow all instructions carefully to avoid disqualification.
The written test for WELFARE attaché positions will be conducted by Institute of Business Administration Karachi. The exam is scheduled for May 3, 2026.
Testing centers will be set up in Islamabad and Karachi for applicants.
The Ministry of Commerce also shared the circular with its departments and asked eligible officers to submit nominations quickly.
Interested officers were instructed to send approved nominations through their department heads. They must also attach their CVs, service profiles, and details of foreign training or workshops.
Officials said nominations submitted after the deadline will not be considered. They also clarified that there will be no financial responsibility on the Ministry of Commerce or the government.
The ministry said detailed criteria and policy guidelines are available on the official website. Applicants can also contact ministry officials or IBA for further information.
Officials added that the selection process may change at any stage. The ministry also reserved the right to cancel the process without giving any reason.
