Job seekers across Pakistan have a new chance to apply for government jobs. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has extended its recruitment deadline. This decision gives more time to applicants.
The FIA announced 1,394 vacancies in different departments. The new last date to apply is May 11, 2026. Officials said the extension aims to attract more eligible candidates.
The recruitment drive includes multiple posts. These positions are available under strict merit-based selection. The FIA said professionalism and transparency will be ensured in the process.
Available vacancies
The major posts include Constable, ASI, and Sub-Inspector. Other positions are also open. These include clerical and driving staff roles.
Key vacancies are as follows:
Constable: 941 posts
ASI: 117 posts
Sub-Inspector: 94 posts
LDC: 64 posts
Stenotypist: 47 posts
Staff Car Driver: 42 posts
Constable Driver: 39 posts
UDC: 29 posts
Assistant: 21 posts
The FIA has encouraged candidates from all provinces to apply. It aims to strengthen law enforcement capacity across the country.
How to apply
Applicants must submit forms online only. The official portal is www.npftas.pk. The FIA will not accept manual applications.
A non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000 is required per post. Payment can be made through banking channels and mobile wallets. Each post requires a separate application and fee.
Selection process
Candidates for operational posts must pass physical tests. This includes height and chest measurement checks.
There is also a running test. Male candidates must complete one mile in 7 minutes. Female candidates must complete it in 10 minutes. Only successful candidates will move to the written test stage.
The FIA clarified that age relaxation of five years is allowed. However, no relaxation will be given in physical requirements.
Government employees must apply through proper channels. They also need a No Objection Certificate at the interview stage.
Final instructions
Selected candidates for clerical posts will complete IT training. This training will be conducted by the National Information Technology Board.
The FIA has warned that false information will lead to disqualification. Legal action may also be taken in such cases.
