CM Punjab Extends Internship Program Deadline for Veterinary Graduates and Para-Vets

The Government of Punjab has extended the deadline for the Internship Program under the CM Punjab Revolutionary Internship Program. The new last date for applications is May 15. The extension gives more time to interested candidates.

This Internship Program is designed for veterinary graduates and para-vets across Punjab. Officials said the goal is to support young professionals. It also aims to improve the livestock sector in the province.

Under the scheme, selected veterinary graduates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs60,000. Para-vet interns will get Rs40,000 per month. The programme has a total budget of Rs600 million.

The Internship Program will benefit a large number of candidates. It includes 264 veterinary graduates and 371 para-vets. A district-wise quota system has been introduced. This ensures fair representation across Punjab.

Officials explained that interns will receive hands-on field training. They will work in real livestock environments. This includes animal vaccination and disease diagnosis. Interns will also help farmers with treatment and guidance.

The Internship Program focuses on practical learning. It aims to improve skills in animal health care. It also supports modern veterinary practices in rural areas.

Eligibility criteria have been clearly defined. For veterinary graduates, a DVM degree from an HEC-recognised institution is required. Applicants must be under 25 years of age. Registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council is also necessary.

Candidates must have a relevant district domicile. They should not be employed in any public or private organisation. A smartphone is also required for participation in the Internship Program.

For para-vets, a two-year Livestock Assistant Diploma is required. The age limit is 20 years. Applicants must also meet the domicile requirement. Employment in any organisation is not allowed. A smartphone is mandatory for application and reporting.

Interested candidates can apply online. The official portal is www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk. Applicants must fill out and submit the online form carefully.

Officials said the Internship Program will help build a skilled workforce. It is expected to improve livestock services across Punjab.
