Fire Breaks Out At Customs Warehouse in Mastung, Injuring Dozens

A major emergency situation continues in Mastung, Balochistan, where a massive blaze erupted at a Pakistan Customs warehouse near Lakpass Toll Plaza. Authorities confirmed that the fire breaks incident has remained active for more than 22 hours.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Mastung, the fire breaks situation started around 10 am on Sunday. The warehouse reportedly contained several highly flammable materials, making firefighting efforts difficult and dangerous.

Officials said the warehouse stored LPG cylinders, fuel, chemicals, tires, clothes, and dried fruits. Due to the presence of these materials, the flames spread rapidly after the fire breaks incident began.

Several explosions were also reported during the emergency. Authorities confirmed that LPG tankers and gas cylinders exploded as the fire intensified. The blasts created panic in nearby areas and increased the risks for rescue teams.

At least 35 people suffered injuries during the incident. The injured individuals were shifted to hospitals for medical treatment. Rescue officials stated that some victims sustained burn injuries due to the intense flames and explosions.

The fire breaks disaster also caused major financial losses. More than 100 vehicles parked near the warehouse were destroyed by the fire. Thick smoke remained visible in the area for several hours.

Ten fire brigade vehicles are currently participating in the operation to control the blaze. Firefighters continue to work carefully because of the dangerous chemicals and fuel stored at the site.

Authorities had temporarily closed the Quetta-Karachi highway following the incident. The road was later reopened after the intensity of the fire decreased and traffic conditions improved.

The Deputy Commissioner warned about the risks of storing flammable materials together in one location. Officials stated that investigations may be carried out to determine safety violations and possible causes behind the incident.

Residents in nearby areas were advised to remain cautious as firefighting operations continue. Rescue teams are monitoring the situation closely to prevent further explosions or damage.

The fire breaks incident in Mastung has raised serious concerns regarding warehouse safety and emergency preparedness. Authorities said efforts to completely extinguish the fire are still ongoing.

Emergency workers remain at the site as the administration continues rescue and cooling operations to avoid another dangerous flare-up.
