Police in Karachi have recovered cocaine during late-night raids following the arrest of alleged drug dealer Anmol Pinky. The operations were carried out after initial interrogation details were shared with investigators. The case has triggered a wider inquiry into drug networks in the city.
According to police officials, the South police team conducted targeted raids in Karachi’s East district. These actions were based on information provided by the suspect during questioning. Authorities said the objective was to trace possible hidden locations linked to illegal drugs, including cocaine.
In the first raid, investigators visited a house in the Jamshed Quarters area. The search was carried out in the presence of the accused. However, no significant recovery was made from that location. Police confirmed that the house did not contain any major illegal items.
In a second operation, police raided a residence in the Sachal area. During this search, cocaine was reportedly recovered from inside the property. Officials said the seizure is now part of the ongoing investigation. The recovered substance has been sent for further examination.
Authorities have started preparing a detailed inventory of all seized items. They also stated that more raids may follow based on new leads. However, the exact quantity of cocaine recovered has not been disclosed yet. Investigators are still assessing the full scale of the network.
Police officials have not confirmed whether additional arrests will take place. The investigation remains active, and teams are working to identify other possible suspects connected to the case involving cocaine distribution.
Earlier this week, Anmol Pinky was arrested from her apartment in the Garden area. The arrest was made during a joint operation by police and a civilian intelligence agency. She was booked in cases related to narcotics possession and an unlicensed weapon.
The case gained public attention after a video of her court appearance went viral. In response, authorities suspended the investigating officer along with two other policemen. The accused was later placed on judicial remand by a judicial magistrate.
