Alleged cocaine dealer Anmol alias “Pinky” appeared before a judicial magistrate in Karachi on Thursday. During the hearing, she strongly accuses police of torture and filing false cases against her.
Baghdadi Police produced the accused in a case registered in District Central. The court proceedings also involved two other suspects linked to financial transactions.
During her statement, Anmol Pinky again accuses law enforcement officials of physical abuse and wrongful detention. She claimed she was beaten during interrogation and forced to name other individuals.
She told the court that she was brought from Lahore and falsely implicated in multiple cases in Karachi. She further alleged that drugs were planted on her to support fabricated charges.
Anmol also accuses investigators of targeting her family. She said she was kept blindfolded and pressured to give false statements under threats of harm.
“I was beaten and falsely charged,” she told the court. She added that she had done nothing wrong and insisted the cases were fabricated.
During the hearing, two co-accused, Zeeshan and Sohail, were also presented. Police stated that both individuals ran EasyPaisa shops and handled financial transactions linked to the case.
The investigation officer told the court that the suspects managed millions of rupees through bank accounts connected to Anmol. He also said another suspect, Qamar, was absconding.
Police requested physical remand of all accused for further investigation. However, the defence opposed the request and asked the court to send Anmol to jail instead.
Anmol also complained about her treatment in custody. She requested that her face not be covered, while the court advised her to follow security protocols.
The investigation officer described Anmol as a key figure in a long-running drug network. He alleged she had operated for many years and maintained links across different regions.
He further claimed that her mobile phone contained hundreds of contacts linked to an organized network. According to him, foreign individuals were also involved in the alleged operations.
The defence rejected all allegations, stating that the cases were politically motivated and baseless. The court has reserved its decision on the remand applications.
Security remained tight during the hearing as tensions briefly rose inside the courtroom. Police later escorted all accused out of the court premises safely.
