Vivo has officially introduced the new Vivo S60 series in China. The lineup includes two smartphones, the Vivo S60 and the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition.
Both devices share many key features. They come with the same display, battery, charging speed, and software. However, the standard Vivo S60 offers a more powerful processor and an additional telephoto camera.
The new Vivo smartphones feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. The screen supports a resolution of 2750ร1260 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. According to Vivo, the displays can reach up to 5,000 nits of peak local brightness in HDR content.
Both models include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security. The camera module on the back has a design that resembles recent premium smartphone trends.
The phones are available in Starry Sea, Early Summer Green, and Midsummer Night color options. They also carry IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering strong protection against dust and water.
Under the hood, the Vivo S60 is powered by Qualcommโs Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. This makes it the more powerful option in the series.
Meanwhile, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition uses MediaTekโs Dimensity 7500 processor. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and offers storage options of up to 512GB.
Both phones run OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. They support 5G connectivity and other modern smartphone features.
For photography, both devices include a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the rear, users get a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
The regular Vivo S60 stands out with an additional 50MP telephoto camera. This sensor supports 3x optical zoom, giving users more flexibility when capturing distant subjects.
Battery life is another major highlight of the series. Both smartphones pack a large 7,200mAh battery. They also support 90W wired fast charging for quicker power-ups.
The Vivo S60 series will go on sale in China starting June 3. The Vitality Edition starts at around $428, while the standard Vivo S60 starts at approximately $530. The top-end Vivo S60 variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at about $689.
