Pakistan Launches ‘PurAzm Pakistan’ Program to Empower Youth Through Skills and Employment

Pakistan Launches a nationwide youth empowerment initiative aimed at improving education, skills development, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurship. The newly introduced “PurAzm Pakistan” program is designed to support young people and help them build successful careers.

The program was officially launched during a ceremony in Islamabad. Speaking at the event, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved all proposals related to youth development. He added that there was no reduction in the budget allocated for youth-focused projects.

As part of the initiative, the government has allocated Rs19 billion for technical and vocational education during the current fiscal year. The funding will help young Pakistanis gain practical and market-relevant skills. Officials believe this investment will improve employability and prepare youth for modern job markets.

Pakistan Launches this program at a time when skills training is becoming increasingly important. According to officials, the Prime Minister’s Youth Program is working with Generation Unlimited to create opportunities in several fields. These include arts, culture, science, technology, and sports.

Rana Mashhood highlighted that the youth program originally started in 2013 during the government of Nawaz Sharif. Earlier initiatives included laptop distribution schemes, scholarships, and easy loans for students and young entrepreneurs. Over the years, the program has expanded significantly.

The current version now offers technical training, soft skills development, ethical education, and language courses. Training is available in Japanese, Arabic, English, Korean, German, and French. These courses are intended to improve overseas employment opportunities for Pakistani youth.

Officials also revealed that teams connected with the youth program are exploring job opportunities in 17 different countries. The effort aims to connect skilled Pakistani workers with international markets and increase employment prospects abroad.

Another important achievement discussed during the event was the success of the Digital Youth Hub. Launched last year, the platform has attracted more than 800,000 registered young people. It also includes over 2,000 registered companies, creating a valuable link between employers and job seekers.

Pakistan Launches additional support measures through the newly announced Pakistan Education Endowment Fund. The fund is modeled after the Punjab Education Endowment Fund and will provide financial assistance to deserving students across the country.
