Three separate cases have reportedly been registered in Lahore against PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar. The lawmaker is already facing allegations in another unrelated matter involving harassment claims. The latest cases add further legal pressure on Saqib Chadhar.
According to reports, the cases were filed at Defence-A Police Station in Lahore. The complaint was submitted by a woman identified as Mahrukh Arif. Police have confirmed that investigations have started into the matter.
The cases involve allegations of cheque dishonour linked to a property transaction. The FIR states that three cheques issued during the deal were later rejected by the bank. The reason given was insufficient funds in the account.
The complainant alleged that she sold a property located on Davis Road in Lahore. She claimed the property was sold to Saqib Khan and Akbar Khan in a deal worth around Rs600 million. The transaction is now at the center of the legal dispute involving Saqib Chadhar.
According to the FIR, the cheques were issued as part of payment arrangements. However, they were later dishonoured when presented at the bank. The complainant further stated that she repeatedly contacted the accused for payment recovery.
She also alleged that despite multiple requests, the payment was not returned. The situation eventually led her to approach law enforcement authorities. This resulted in the registration of cases against Saqib Chadhar.
Police officials confirmed that three separate FIRs have been registered. Each case relates to the same alleged transaction and bounced cheques. Investigators are now gathering evidence and statements from both sides.
Authorities have not issued any final findings yet. The matter remains under investigation. Officials say further legal action will depend on the outcome of the inquiry.
In addition to these cases, Saqib Chadhar is also facing separate allegations involving harassment claims made by an actress. However, no conclusion has been reached in either matter at this stage.
The police investigation is ongoing, and both parties are expected to be called for further statements. Legal experts say the case will depend on documentary proof related to the property deal and banking records.
