A Swedish court has sentenced a man to prison after a long investigation into severe abuse and coercion. The case involved repeated violence, control, and exploitation.
The court ruled that the Man jailed in the case will serve four years and five months in prison. He was found guilty of multiple offenses.
Prosecutors said the Man jailed had controlled his wife for years. The abuse reportedly took place at a remote farmhouse in Kramfors, eastern Sweden.
According to court findings, the man used threats and intimidation to control her daily life. He allegedly threatened extreme violence, including killing and physical harm.
Investigators said the victim was kept under constant surveillance. Cameras were installed across the property to monitor her movements.
The court heard that the abuse began in 2022 and continued for nearly three years. During this period, the woman was forced into repeated exploitation.
Authorities said men from across Sweden visited the property after paying for sexual encounters. The investigation identified around 120 men linked to the case.
The victim eventually escaped in October 2025. She reportedly fled through a blind spot in the surveillance system and contacted police.
The judgment stated that the Man jailed repeatedly pressured and manipulated his wife. He was also accused of forcing her into online activity linked to the abuse.
Judges described the case as systematic control and long-term exploitation. They rejected the defendantโs claim that all interactions were consensual.
The court found him guilty of offenses including coercion, assault, and criminal threats. Some rape charges were dismissed due to lack of proof of non-consent.
However, one count of attempted rape was upheld. Other related charges were either reduced or dropped during the trial.
Along with the prison sentence, the court ordered financial compensation for the victim. She will receive 200,000 Swedish kronor in damages.
The case also exposed wider involvement from buyers of sexual services. Dozens of individuals were convicted for purchasing illegal services linked to the abuse.
Most denied wrongdoing, but the court ruled against them in nearly all cases.
The ruling has been widely reported in Sweden due to the scale and severity of the crimes.
With the final verdict, the Man jailed case highlights ongoing concerns about coercion, exploitation, and hidden abuse in isolated environments.
