The Punjab government has released complete guidelines for organizations seeking Day Care Center registration under its daycare initiative. The program is being managed by the Directorate of Women Development, Punjab.
This initiative has been launched under the special direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. It aims to support working women and parents across the province.
Under this program, organizations can establish a Day Care facility to provide safe childcare during office hours. The goal is to help parents, especially mothers, continue their professional work without childcare concerns.
According to official figures, Punjab plans to establish 650 Day Care Centers. So far, 350 Day Care Centers are already operational in different institutions.
The project is being carried out through the Punjab Day Care Fund. It focuses on improving child safety, early development, and womenโs participation in the workforce.
For many working mothers, childcare remains a major challenge. A workplace Day Care facility can reduce stress and improve work performance. It also gives children a safe and supervised environment.
The Punjab government has invited organizations to apply for Day Care Center registration through the e-WDD Portal.
Eligible applicants include government departments, educational institutions, universities, hospitals, private companies, NGOs, and welfare organizations. Offices with a high number of working parents can also apply.
To complete the application, organizations must provide an Authority Letter, Building Readiness Document, and a Site Map.
The registration process starts with creating an account on the e-WDD Portal. After login, applicants must fill out the Day Care registration form with complete organizational details.
They also need to provide employee data, expected child capacity, banking details, and focal person information. All required documents must be uploaded before submission.
Officials have advised applicants to carefully review all mandatory fields before submitting the form.
The Day Care initiative offers many benefits. It helps working parents manage responsibilities better. It also improves employee retention and supports women-friendly workplaces across Punjab.
