Islamabad Police Jobs 2026 1,934 New Vacancies Expected for Male and Female Applicants

Thousands of job seekers may soon get an opportunity to join the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police after the government approved 1,934 new positions for the financial year 2025-26.

The approval is expected to pave the way for a major recruitment drive in Islamabad Police. The upcoming hiring process will create career opportunities for both male and female candidates from across Pakistan. These vacancies will be filled in different departments, including the Special Protection Unit (SPU) and the Law & Order Division.

According to available details, a total of 997 positions are expected to be allocated to the SPU. These include 12 Inspectors, 15 Sub Inspectors, 50 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs), 100 Head Constables, and 820 Constables.

Meanwhile, the Law & Order Division is likely to receive 937 vacancies. These include 12 Inspectors, 35 Sub Inspectors, 50 ASIs, 80 Head Constables, and 760 Constables.

The upcoming Police Jobs are expected to attract a large number of applicants due to the benefits associated with government service. Candidates with different educational backgrounds will likely be eligible for various positions.

Based on previous recruitment policies, Constable positions may require Matric qualification. ASI posts may require Intermediate education. Candidates applying for Sub Inspector and Inspector positions are expected to need a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.

The expected age limit for applicants is between 18 and 25 years. However, age relaxation may be granted under government rules. Applicants will also need to meet physical standards. These may include minimum height requirements, chest measurements for male candidates, running tests, and fitness examinations.
