NADRA Launches New Home-Based Registration Service in Islamabad

NADRA Launches New Home-Based Registration Service in Islamabad

National Database and Registration Authority has introduced a new digital service for citizens living in Islamabad. The latest update makes civil registration easier for residents. Under this new system, NADRA launches home-based registration services through its Pak-ID mobile application.

The new service allows people to register important life events without visiting government offices. Through the app, citizens can now register births, deaths, marriages, and divorces online. This move is aimed at making public services faster and more convenient.

According to the Capital Development Authority, the updated service is now active in all union councils of Islamabad. Officials said the digital system will reduce paperwork and save time for citizens. It will also help improve record management.

With this latest step, NADRA launches another digital solution to improve access to public services. Residents can complete their applications from home using smartphones. This removes the need for long queues and office visits.

Authorities say the new service is part of the governmentโ€™s broader digital transformation plan. The goal is to make official processes simple and more accessible. Islamabad has become the first city to fully implement this updated system across all union councils.

At the same time, NADRA is also continuing action against fake identity documents. Officials have warned that strict checks are being carried out. The authority is increasing its crackdown on forged and suspicious CNICs.

The launch of this new service is expected to benefit thousands of families. It will make civil registration more efficient and reduce delays in official documentation. Experts say this step could improve transparency and service delivery.

As NADRA launches this online facility, citizens are encouraged to use the Pak-ID app for all eligible registrations. The authority has advised residents to keep their documents ready before starting the process.
