Karachi Set For Rainy Weather This Week As PMD Forecasts Relief From Heat

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast Rains for Karachi after monsoon winds entered the country. The seasonal weather system is expected to strengthen over the coming days and bring changing weather conditions to several parts of Pakistan.

According to the Met Office, Karachi is likely to experience partly cloudy skies, intermittent Rains, and gusty winds during the next two days. Light rainfall is expected on Friday, July 3, which may provide temporary relief from the city’s humid weather.

On Wednesday morning, Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius.

Weather officials said the city will continue to experience humid conditions with partly cloudy skies. Strong winds may occur at intervals throughout the day.

Light drizzle is also expected in isolated parts of Karachi during the late-night and early-morning hours today and tomorrow. Residents have been advised to stay informed through official weather updates.

While Karachi is expected to receive light rainfall, the monsoon system is likely to have a stronger impact on several districts of Sindh.

The Met Office has forecast thunderstorms, gusty winds, and Rains for Ghotki, Sukkur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, and Naushahro Feroze as the weather system moves further into the province.

Despite the incoming monsoon activity, weather officials said most rural districts of Sindh are expected to remain hot and dry. Significant rainfall is likely to remain limited to selected areas directly affected by the seasonal system.

Authorities have urged residents to remain alert as weather conditions may change quickly during the active monsoon period. They have also advised people to follow official forecasts before making travel plans.

According to the latest weather outlook, hot and dry conditions will continue across most districts of Sindh. However, upper parts of the province may experience partly cloudy weather.

The department has also forecast rain accompanied by windstorms and thunderstorms at isolated locations in Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Larkana, and Dadu.

Meteorologists said a seasonal low-pressure area currently lies over north Balochistan and adjoining regions. At the same time, a ridge of high pressure remains present in the upper atmosphere.

Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are also entering southeastern parts of Pakistan. These weather patterns are expected to support further monsoon activity over the coming days.

The arrival of the monsoon season usually brings welcome relief from high temperatures but can also lead to localized flooding and traffic disruptions in some urban areas.

Officials continue to monitor the developing weather system and will issue updated advisories if conditions change. Residents are encouraged to stay informed as Rains and thunderstorms remain possible in different parts of Sindh during the coming days.
