Strong Winds and Rain Forecast for Lahore After Blistering Temperatures

The latest Lahore Weather forecast indicates a possible change in conditions as meteorologists predict thunderstorms, rainfall, and strong winds in the city.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Lahore is expected to experience unstable weather as a new weather system moves across the region. The forecast comes after days of intense heat and uncomfortable humidity.

At present, the city’s temperature is around 38°C. However, the RealFeel temperature is close to 42°C due to high humidity levels. The combination of heat and moisture has increased discomfort for residents across the city.

Meteorologists say winds are currently blowing at around 3 kilometers per hour. However, stronger wind gusts are expected to develop as weather activity intensifies. Residents have been advised to stay informed about the latest Lahore Weather updates and follow official advisories.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has also issued a nationwide weather alert. The authority warned that strong winds, dust storms, thunderstorms, and widespread rainfall could affect several parts of the country over the next 12 to 24 hours.

Officials fear that severe weather conditions may lead to urban flooding, travel disruptions, and other weather-related hazards in vulnerable areas. Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious during changing weather conditions.

The NDMA also warned that ultraviolet radiation levels may reach dangerous levels before rainfall begins. Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and use protective measures such as sunscreen, umbrellas, and hats.

According to the forecast, Lahore Weather conditions are expected to be similar to those in several other cities across Punjab. Areas including Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Kasur, Okara, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan may also receive rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.

Similar weather activity is expected in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Several regions may experience dust storms, heavy rain, and gusty winds.

Meanwhile, the NDMA has issued a Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) alert for parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Kashmir. Officials warned that rising temperatures and unstable weather could trigger flash floods, landslides, and debris flows in mountainous regions.

Weather experts say the expected rain could provide temporary relief from the ongoing heat. However, citizens are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions during thunderstorms and strong wind conditions.
