Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is once again making headlines, but this time it is not for a film performance. Shahid Kapoor is reportedly facing attention over alleged demands made during the filming of his upcoming romantic comedy Cocktail 2.
According to reports, Shahid Kapoor is starring alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in the movie. The film was shot at different locations across India and Italy.
A production team member shared details about the actor’s reported requests during filming. Line producer Sumit Tyagi spoke about some challenges faced during the shoot, especially in Delhi.
He said the team had to deal with poor air quality in the capital. Delhi’s pollution levels reportedly created problems for outdoor filming. According to Tyagi, Shahid Kapoor refused to shoot outside without air purifiers due to health concerns.
The incident reportedly happened during filming at Cyber City in Gurugram. Tyagi explained that the team arranged five to six air purifiers in an open space after Kapoor raised the concern. While air purifiers are usually more effective indoors, the team still made the arrangements to continue shooting.
Tyagi described the move as unusual but said they had to follow the actor’s request. He also called Kapoor “whimsical” while discussing the incident in a YouTube podcast.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor’s recently released film O Romeo continues to perform steadily at the box office. The film has earned Rs. 43.9 crore in India so far.
The movie was released on February 13 and marked Shahid Kapoor’s reunion with director Vishal Bhardwaj after nine years. Actress Triptii Dimri also plays a major role in the film.
Despite competition from Tu Yaa Main, the film is maintaining stable earnings. Industry analysts say it may soon cross the Rs. 50 crore mark.
