IPP Promises Reforms in AJK with Focus on Education and Transparency

The president of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Abdul Aleem Khan, has promised major reforms in AJK if his party comes to power. He said the party would address long-standing issues faced by the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Aleem Khan said the IPP would work according to the wishes of the people of AJK. He said all decisions related to the region would reflect public aspirations and needs.

Aleem Khan said improving education would be a top priority under the partyโ€™s future plans. He promised practical steps to ensure that every child in AJK gets access to quality education. He added that expanding educational opportunities is essential for the regionโ€™s progress.

The IPP chief also promised better civic infrastructure across Azad Kashmir. He said roads, public facilities, and other development projects would be improved to raise living standards.

According to Aleem Khan, the partyโ€™s governance model in AJK would focus on merit, transparency, and public service. He said if elected, the IPP would ensure fair governance and better delivery of public services.

During his speech, Aleem Khan criticized rival political parties. He said parties that had remained in power for years were responsible for many of the difficulties people face today. He added that those parties should review their own performance before criticizing others.

Several political leaders also joined the IPP during the event. These included Dr Sardar Zafar Iqbal, Sardar Murtaza Ali Ahmad, Sardar Abdul Jabbar Mughal, and several district council members and local leaders from different constituencies.

In another important announcement, the IPP appointed former Azad Jammu and Kashmir prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas as president of the partyโ€™s AJK chapter. Nisar Anser Abdali was also named the general secretary for the region.
