The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced that applications are now open for the Government of Oman Undergraduate Scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year. The opportunity is available to students from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) who meet the required eligibility criteria.
According to HEC, eligible students can apply for the fully announced undergraduate programme before the application deadline. The commission has encouraged interested candidates to complete their applications as early as possible.
To qualify for the Scholarships, applicants must have a valid Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) score. HEC stated that only candidates who appeared in the USAT on or after June 13, 2025, will be considered eligible for the programme.
The commission clarified that it will not conduct a separate USAT examination specifically for the Oman scholarship programme. Instead, applicants will be assessed using their existing valid USAT results.
HEC emphasized that the admission process will be based entirely on the available USAT scores submitted by applicants. Students who do not possess a valid test result will not be considered for the programme.
