A PRA officer has received two honorary shields in recognition of outstanding professional performance during the Punjab Revenue Authorityโs Annual Strategic Conference for FY2026-27. The awards were presented after the authority achieved record tax collection during the previous financial year.
The recognition highlights the contribution of high-performing officials who played a key role in strengthening tax administration. The PRA officer was honoured for exceptional achievements in revenue collection and public service.
The annual conference brought together senior government officials and Punjab Revenue Authority leadership to review the authorityโs performance during FY2025-26. Participants also discussed strategic priorities and revenue targets for the new financial year.
Additional Commissioner Wasif Bashir Khokhar received the two honorary shields during the event. He currently serves in the Lahore Commissionerate and the Large Taxpayers Commissionerate.
According to officials, the PRA officer became the first individual in the authorityโs history to receive two honorary shields for outstanding professional services. The achievement was described as a significant milestone for the organisation.
The conference was chaired by Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman. Senior officers from different departments also attended the session. They reviewed the authorityโs overall performance and future plans for improving tax collection.
Officials stated that the Punjab Revenue Authority collected a record Rs368 billion during the 2025-26 financial year. The conference recognised officers who made notable contributions toward achieving that target.
During the ceremony, Khokhar was acknowledged for his consistent performance in revenue administration. Officials said his efforts helped strengthen tax management and improve operational efficiency within the authority.
