Woman Traveling on Umrah Visa Offloaded at Karachi Airport

A Pakistani Woman Traveling to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa was stopped by immigration officials at Karachiโ€™s Jinnah International Airport. Authorities later transferred her to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation into suspected human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.

According to the FIA, the Woman Traveling to Saudi Arabia came under suspicion during routine immigration clearance. Officials said her travel history and responses during questioning raised concerns, leading to a more detailed investigation.

The passenger was identified as Anam. During questioning, she reportedly told immigration officers that her current Umrah visa had been arranged by a friend named Ilyas, who lives in Saudi Arabia.

The FIA said the woman admitted that she had visited Saudi Arabia twice before. She reportedly stayed in the Kingdom for about three months during each visit.

According to investigators, the passenger confessed that she had been involved in prostitution during both previous stays in Saudi Arabia. Officials stated that her statement was recorded during the immigration inquiry.

The woman also reportedly informed authorities that her earlier trips had been arranged by a man identified as Zeeshan. She further claimed that another individual named Mani received her in Dammam and arranged her accommodation after her arrival.

The FIA said the passenger disclosed that she earned around Rs. 150,000 per month from those activities. According to her statement, visa and travel expenses were deducted from her earnings before she received payment.

Officials also said the Woman Traveling on the latest Umrah visa claimed that all arrangements for her current visit had been made by Ilyas. She reportedly told investigators that she intended to work independently instead of through an agent.

During the investigation, immigration officials carried out a forensic examination of the passengerโ€™s mobile phone. According to the FIA, the device contained several voice messages and photographs.

Officials stated that the woman reportedly acknowledged that the recovered material was connected to her previous activities and the purpose of her latest visit to Saudi Arabia.

The FIA believes the case may involve a wider human trafficking network. Investigators said initial findings indicate possible commercial sexual exploitation and organized facilitation of overseas travel.

Authorities have launched further investigations to identify other individuals who may have been involved in arranging the trips. They are also examining whether additional people are connected to the alleged network.

Following the inquiry, immigration officials prevented the passenger from boarding her flight. She was later handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for legal action and further investigation.
