Karachi Weather Update Brings More Light Rain Amid Muggy Conditions

Karachi is expected to experience partly cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle on Friday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). While the expected drizzle may provide slight relief, humid conditions are likely to keep the Weather uncomfortable throughout the day.

The latest Weather forecast predicts a maximum temperature of 35°C in Karachi. The city recorded 28.4°C during the early morning hours. Humidity remained high at around 75 percent, while sea winds continued to blow at approximately 15 km/h.

Although light drizzle is possible in some parts of the city, residents are unlikely to see a significant drop in temperatures. The combination of heat and high humidity is expected to create muggy conditions for most of the day.

The Karachi forecast comes as a severe heatwave continues to affect several regions across Pakistan. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that extreme temperatures will persist in many parts of the country, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are expected to remain hot and dry. Heat and humidity will continue across the plains, making outdoor activities difficult during daytime hours.

However, isolated rain showers may develop in the Hazara and Malakand divisions. These showers could provide temporary relief to residents living in those areas, although widespread rainfall is not expected.

Punjab is also likely to experience another day of intense heat. Lahore is forecast to record a maximum temperature of around 40°C.

The heat index in Lahore presents an even greater concern. Although the morning temperature was recorded at 36°C, humidity levels of nearly 49 percent pushed the feels-like temperature to 43°C.

Forecasters have warned that the apparent temperature could rise to as high as 47°C during the afternoon. Light winds of around 8 km/h are expected, and there is no forecast for rainfall in the provincial capital.

The PMD has urged people across the country to remain cautious during the ongoing hot spell. Officials advised the public to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the hottest hours of the afternoon.

Health experts also recommend drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated. People are encouraged to wear light clothing and seek shade whenever possible.

Special care should be taken for children, senior citizens, and outdoor workers, as they are more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses. Authorities have also advised employers to ensure safe working conditions for people performing outdoor duties.

The current Weather pattern highlights the ongoing impact of high temperatures and humidity across Pakistan. While Karachi may receive light drizzle, much of the country is expected to remain under hot and humid conditions until a stronger weather system develops.
