KP to Launch Digital Land Record System With Real-Time Encroachment Alerts

KP to Launch Digital Land Record System With Real-Time Encroachment Alerts

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced plans under the KP to Launch digital land management initiative. The project aims to digitize government land records and introduce a real-time alert system to detect encroachments on state-owned land.

The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by KP Minister for Revenue Tariq Mehmood Aryani. Senior officials and representatives from relevant departments attended the meeting to discuss reforms in land administration.

The KP to Launch initiative is designed to improve transparency and strengthen the protection of government land. Officials believe the use of digital tools will help reduce delays and improve accountability across the revenue department.

Under the proposed system, officers will receive automatic alerts whenever an encroachment is detected on government land. The alerts will allow authorities to respond quickly and prevent illegal occupation.

Officials said the system will also monitor the response of concerned officers. If an officer fails to act after receiving an alert, the system will record the officerโ€™s tenure during which the encroachment occurred. The officer will also be flagged for failing to take timely action.

The meeting also focused on improving public access to land-related services. It was decided that the process of issuing a fard, an official land ownership document, will be fully digitized.

Once the new system is introduced, citizens will be able to obtain a fard through the Dastak App. The document will also be available through NADRAโ€™s e-Sahulat service, making it easier for people to access land records without visiting government offices.

Officials said the move will reduce paperwork and speed up the delivery of public services. It is also expected to improve convenience for citizens across the province.

The KP to Launch reforms also include the use of modern geospatial technologies. Authorities agreed to use tools such as Google Earth and RS-GIS for land site marking.

Officials believe these technologies will improve the accuracy of land identification. They also expect the change to reduce unnecessary interference by patwaris during the land-marking process.

Another key decision taken during the meeting was the complete digitization of all mutation processes. Mutation refers to the official transfer or update of land ownership records.

The government expects this step to improve transparency and reduce the chances of record manipulation. A digital system will also make land transactions more efficient and easier to track.

The meeting also addressed the issue of pending land dispute cases. Revenue officials will now be given a clear timeline to resolve these cases. Authorities believe fixed deadlines will help reduce delays and improve public confidence in the revenue system.
