Former Pakistan cricket captain Younis Khan has launched the Younis Khan Cricket Academy at KHA Legend Arena, taking a new step toward supporting the next generation of cricketers in Pakistan.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Younis Khan said Pakistan has no shortage of cricketing talent but stressed that young players need better opportunities to develop their skills from an early age.
He said the future success of Pakistan cricket depends on a strong grassroots system, where talented youngsters receive professional coaching, quality facilities and regular guidance before progressing to higher levels of the game.
The academy aims to provide structured training programmes for aspiring cricketers under experienced coaching staff. It is also expected to offer modern practice facilities designed to help players improve their technical and tactical abilities.
Younis Khan, one of Pakistan’s most successful batters and a former national team captain, said investing in youth development is essential to producing future international players.
The launch reflects a growing focus on grassroots cricket, with increasing attention being given to talent identification and long-term player development across the country.
