ISLAMABAD โ The federal government has announced new Police Inspector Jobs in the Islamabad Capital Territory Police. The recruitment is open to eligible Pakistani citizens across the country.
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced 23 permanent Inspector posts. These positions are available under the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control.
The posts are classified as Inspector (BS-16) positions. Interested candidates can submit their applications until August 31, 2026.
The recruitment may attract graduates and young professionals seeking government careers. It also offers an opportunity to join Islamabad Police at officer level.
Eligibility Criteria for Police Inspector Jobs
Candidates must hold a second-class or Grade-C degree. A Masterโs, BS, or Bachelorโs degree is acceptable.
The degree must come from an HEC-recognised university. Applicants must also meet the required age and physical standards.
The prescribed age limit is 20 to 28 years. A general upper-age relaxation of five years will also apply.
Candidates must meet all eligibility conditions before applying. Their education, age, domicile, and physical fitness will be checked.
Physical Requirements for Applicants
The recruitment process includes mandatory physical tests. Male candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches.
Female candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches. Male applicants must also meet the required chest measurement.
The prescribed chest measurement for male candidates is 33 to 34.5 inches. Candidates must also meet the required eyesight standards.
The eyesight requirement is 6/6. Near vision must not be below J-1.
Physical fitness will also play an important role in the selection process. Male candidates must complete a 1.6-kilometre run within seven minutes.
Female candidates must complete the same distance within 10 minutes. The Islamabad Capital Territory Police Department will conduct these tests.
Candidates will be referred for physical measurements and tests through the FPSC recruitment process.
Punjab Receives Highest Number of Seats
The 23 posts have been distributed under merit and regional quotas. Punjab has received the largest share of the available positions.
The seat distribution is as follows:
- Open Merit: 1 seat
- Islamabad: 5 seats
- Punjab: 9 seats
- Sindh Rural: 2 seats
- Sindh Urban: 1 seat
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 2 seats
- Balochistan: 1 seat
- Former FATA: 1 seat
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 1 seat
Punjab has received nine seats under the recruitment drive. Islamabad follows with five available positions.
Permanent BS-16 Government Positions
Successful candidates will be appointed as Inspectors in Islamabad Capital Territory Police. The posts offer a permanent government career opportunity.
The selection will be conducted through the FPSCโs prescribed recruitment process. Applicants must carefully review all requirements before submitting applications.
