Gas Supply Schedule Revised in Quetta After Pipeline Damage

Gas Supply Schedule Revised in Quetta After Pipeline Damage

QUETTA: Gas supplies in Quetta have been temporarily disrupted after pipeline damage, Sui Southern Gas Company said.

An 18-inch gas pipeline was damaged, affecting the network in several areas. The company has introduced a temporary supply schedule during repairs.

SSGC said the revised schedule applies to parts of Quetta. The arrangement will remain in place until repair work is completed.

Under the temporary plan, Gas Supply will be available during three daily time periods.

Gas will be supplied from 6:30 am to 8:30 am in the morning. Consumers will also receive gas from 12 pm to 3 pm.

The third supply window will run from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. Gas services will remain suspended during the remaining hours.

SSGC said the temporary suspension is necessary to maintain pressure across the network. It will also help ensure operational stability during the repair process.

The pipeline damage has affected normal gas distribution in Quetta. Consumers may therefore experience limited supply outside the announced hours.

The company has advised consumers to plan their gas usage accordingly. Households can use the available supply periods for essential cooking and other needs.

SSGC is currently working to repair the damaged pipeline. The company has not indicated that the disruption will continue after repairs.

Normal Gas Supply will resume once the repair work is completed. SSGC said the regular schedule will be restored as conditions improve.

The pipeline incident has also affected other areas of Balochistan. Gas supplies have been temporarily suspended in some parts of the province.

The disruption is linked to the same damaged pipeline. Authorities are working to address the issue and restore normal operations.

SSGC has adjusted the schedule as a temporary measure. The company aims to maintain network stability while repair teams work on the damaged section.

Residents in affected areas may continue facing changes in supply timings. Consumers are advised to remain aware of the temporary schedule.

The company said the situation will improve after the repair work is completed. A return to normal Gas Supply will depend on the restoration of the damaged pipeline.

The disruption highlights the importance of maintaining the gas distribution network. Pipeline damage can affect supplies across multiple connected areas.

SSGC continues to monitor the network during the repair process. Further changes to the schedule may depend on operational conditions.
