Karachi Announces Traffic Plan for 8 Rabi-ul-Awal Processions

Karachi Traffic Police have announced a special Traffic Plan for August 22. The arrangements aim to manage traffic during 8 Rabi-ul-Awal processions.

The processions will begin from Nishtar Park and other locations across Karachi. Large gatherings are expected along several major roads.

Traffic police have prepared special measures to keep vehicles moving. Officials will also work to reduce congestion around procession routes.

According to a traffic police spokesperson, alternative routes will be available for citizens. Traffic officers will guide drivers toward these roads when necessary.

Additional personnel will be deployed at different locations across the city. Officers will manage vehicle movement and pedestrian traffic around crowded areas.

Citizens attending the processions by vehicle will require special passes. These passes were available from the relevant central office between August 17 and August 20.

Applicants were required to submit several documents for the passes. These included the vehicle registration card, CNIC and two photographs.

Traffic police have also issued instructions to procession participants. Citizens must carry their original vehicle registration card during the processions.

They must also keep their original CNIC with them. Officials may check these documents during the arrangements.

The Traffic Plan is intended to support both procession participants and other road users. Police have advised citizens to cooperate with officers on duty.

Residents have also been encouraged to avoid procession routes where possible. Drivers should use alternative roads to avoid unnecessary delays.

Traffic officers will remain deployed at key points throughout the day. Their presence will help manage congestion and maintain orderly traffic movement.

Major gathering points, including Nishtar Park, are expected to experience heavier traffic. Citizens travelling through these areas should plan their routes accordingly.

The Traffic Plan will remain in effect during the main procession activities. Officials will monitor road conditions and make adjustments when required.

Police have urged motorists to follow instructions given by traffic personnel. They have also asked citizens to avoid parking near procession routes.

The arrangements are aimed at reducing inconvenience for the public. They will also help maintain smooth movement around major procession areas.

Citizens are advised to leave early if travel is necessary. Using alternative roads can also help avoid delays during peak procession hours.

Karachi Traffic Police said additional measures will remain active throughout the day. The department will continue monitoring traffic around major routes.
