The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested two men in Lahore. The arrests came during a raid linked to an alleged illegal data operation.
According to investigators, the suspects were found with around 3TB of sensitive information. The data is reportedly linked to more than 10 million Pakistani citizens.
The suspects were identified as Arsalan and Ali Raza. They were arrested during a raid conducted by the NCCIA Lahore team. Officials also recovered two mobile phones from their possession.
Investigators are now examining the massive amount of recovered information. The data reportedly contains several types of sensitive personal records.
These records include SIM ownership and registration details. They also reportedly contain call detail records, SIM databases and citizens’ location information.
The alleged data collection reportedly goes beyond telecom-related information. Authorities said family-tree records of citizens were also found.

Alleged ‘Mini NADRA’ Website
The NCCIA alleges that the suspects created a website called “Mini NADRA.” The website reportedly offered unauthorized access to information associated with NADRA.
Investigators are also examining possible links to the illegal sale of personal information. The suspects are reportedly being investigated for buying and selling sensitive data.
Authorities are also probing their alleged access to a platform known as “Khoji.” Investigators are working to determine how the platform was allegedly used.
The NCCIA has started a forensic examination of the recovered data. Experts will examine how the information was obtained and stored.
They will also investigate whether the data was distributed to other people. The examination could help authorities identify the source of the information.
