Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced new digital facilities for Pakistani pilgrims preparing for Hajj 2027.

The updated system allows applicants to complete several important procedures from home.

Successful Hajj applicants must re-upload their verified medical fitness certificates through the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Management Portal.

Overseas Pakistanis can also use the digital facility. They may obtain a medical fitness certificate from a doctor near their place of residence.

The certificate can then be uploaded through the official online system. The ministry has also activated a hardship application option through the Pak Hajj App.

Successful pilgrims facing genuine difficulties may apply for a Mahram or helper under the hardship quota.

Such applications will remain subject to the relevant rules and approval process. The hardship arrangement may cover cases involving split families or Mahram requirements for female pilgrims.

It may also apply to attendants required by people with disabilities or special needs. Another major feature is the online cancellation and refund facility.

Pilgrims unable to perform Hajj due to unavoidable circumstances can submit a cancellation request digitally.

The refund process can also be started through the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Management Portal.

This reduces the need for applicants to depend entirely on physical procedures. The Ministry of Religious Affairs included cancellation and refund services among its September 2026 Hajj updates.

The new measures are part of the government’s wider digitalisation of pilgrim services.

Online registration, payments, medical records, and hardship applications are increasingly being handled through digital platforms.

The government has also been working to improve long-term planning for pilgrimage operations.

Pakistan’s Hajj 2027 registration process started on June 22, 2026.

The government is also operating under the Hajj Policy 2027–2030. The policy focuses on greater digital transformation and improved services for pilgrims.

It also aims to support longer-term operational planning for future pilgrimage seasons.

Separate instructions have also been issued for private Hajj operators.

Pilgrims have been advised to use official digital payment channels for private packages. The ministry has cautioned applicants against making direct payments to individuals or unauthorised operators.

The latest digital facilities are intended to make key procedures easier and more accessible.

Pilgrims can now complete several important steps without visiting offices repeatedly.
