KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced new vacancies for female air hostesses at its Karachi base.
The national airline is inviting applications from eligible female candidates for cabin crew positions. The recruitment drive is part of the airline’s efforts to strengthen its cabin crew workforce.
According to the recruitment announcement, candidates must be aged between 20 and 28 years. Applicants must also hold at least a bachelor’s degree to qualify for the position.
Interested candidates can apply online through the official PIA recruitment portal. The deadline for submitting applications is October 7, 2026.
Applicants are advised to complete the online application process before the deadline. They should also provide accurate information and required documents with their applications.
The airline had previously announced similar recruitment drives for its Lahore and Islamabad bases. The latest announcement expands the recruitment process to the Karachi base.
The vacancies come as PIA continues to update its staffing and operational procedures. Cabin crew members play an important role in passenger safety and service during flights.
Meanwhile, PIA has also introduced stricter rules for cabin crew regarding smoking and tobacco products. The airline recently issued instructions covering the possession and use of cigarettes during flight duties.
Under the latest restrictions, an air hostess can carry only one packet of cigarettes during flight duty. The allowed quantity is limited to 20 cigarettes for a single duty.
PIA management has warned that violations of these rules could lead to disciplinary action. Possible penalties include suspension or removal from flight duties.
Earlier in June, the airline introduced broader restrictions on tobacco products for cabin crew. Flight attendants were prohibited from carrying cigarettes, cigars, or other tobacco products in personal luggage.
The policy also prohibits smoking during flights and hotel stays while crew members are on duty. Smoking in public places is also restricted under the new staff conduct rules.
PIA management directed all cabin crew members to comply with the revised policy. Violations can result in immediate suspension and further disciplinary proceedings.
The new recruitment opportunity provides eligible candidates with a chance to join the airline’s cabin crew. Female applicants meeting the age and education requirements can submit their applications online.
