The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a traffic diversion plan for construction work at Kashmir Chowk.

The construction is being carried out on Club Road, which may affect normal traffic movement.

The Police have advised motorists to use alternative routes during the construction period. The move aims to reduce congestion and prevent unnecessary delays.

According to an ITP official, traffic diversions will remain active while construction work continues. Motorists have been asked to plan their journeys before leaving.

Alternative Routes for Rawalpindi

Motorists travelling from the Secretariat and Serena Hotel towards Rawalpindi can use Srinagar Highway.

They can also use Ninth Avenue if Club Road remains closed.

Travellers from G-5, the Secretariat, and Serena Hotel have other route options. They can travel through Srinagar Highway, Mera Abadi, and Peshawar Road.

Another option is taking a U-turn from Lake View. Motorists can then continue through Murree Road and Club Road.

Routes Towards Rawal Dam and Lehtrar Road

Motorists heading towards Rawal Dam Chowk can use several alternative roads.

They can travel through Srinagar Highway and Seventh Avenue. Shakarparian Road can also be used.

The recommended route continues towards Tulip Hotel Road and Rawal Dam Road.

These routes are expected to help motorists avoid the affected section of Club Road.

Routes Towards Bhara Kahu and Murree

People travelling towards Bhara Kahu and Murree have also been given alternative routes.

They can travel through Faizabad and Faisal Avenue. The route then continues towards Zero Point.

Motorists can use the Srinagar Highway Underpass after Zero Point. They can then proceed towards Jinnah Square and Kurriyanwala Chowk.

Routes From Rawalpindi Towards Islamabad

Motorists travelling from Rawalpindi towards Islamabad can use Ninth Avenue.

Faqir Aipee Road and Srinagar Highway are also available as alternative routes.

Those coming from Park Road and Lehtrar Road have different options. They can use Tulip Hotel Road and Garden Avenue.

The route can then continue towards Seventh Avenue for onward travel.

ITP Issues Traffic Advisory

The Islamabad Traffic Police has urged motorists to follow instructions from traffic officials.

Drivers have also been advised to use the recommended alternative routes. This will help maintain smoother traffic flow during construction.

Motorists should allow extra travel time when planning journeys through the affected area.

The Police will provide further traffic updates through ITP FM 92.4. Updates will also be shared through the department’s official social media platforms.
