Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Irfan Siddiqui has denied rumors of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s presence in Saudi Arabia.
He confirmed that Nawaz Sharif is currently in the United Kingdom and will leave for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and spend time with his son, Hussain Nawaz. Siddiqui clarified that Nawaz Sharif has no scheduled meetings with Saudi officials during this private visit.
Nawaz Sharif has been living in London since November 2019 due to health reasons and was disqualified for life in 2017 by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for not declaring a receivable salary.

Siddiqui also mentioned that Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on October 21 after a brief two-day stay in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He addressed speculations about Nawaz’s visits to Qatar and China, stating that any such visits would be of a personal and diplomatic nature, with no current plans for official visits to these countries.
Regarding Nawaz Sharif’s scheduled speech at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore after his return, Siddiqui emphasized that it would not be an ordinary politician’s speech but that of a visionary leader. He stated that the PML-N believes in the supremacy of parliament and is committed to safeguarding the “sanctity of [people’s] vote.”
Nawaz Sharif’s address at Minar-e-Pakistan is expected to unveil a new narrative to PML-N workers and supporters. Initially, other PML-N leaders, including Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Hamza Shehbaz, were scheduled to speak at the event, but it has been decided that Nawaz Sharif will be the sole speaker.
