On Thursday, Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan made a significant announcement, pledging the full support of Saudi Arabia in streamlining visa processes for Pakistani IT companies. This commitment was confirmed following a meeting between Ambassador Al-Malki and the Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Dr. Umar Saif.
A focal point of the discussion during the meeting was the facilitation of visas for Pakistani IT professionals and businesspersons by Saudi Arabia. Matters related to mutual interest and the IT and Telecommunication sectors were also on the agenda.

Both parties expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the fields of IT and telecom between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Umar Saif underlined the Pakistani government’s eagerness to bolster relations with Saudi Arabia in these sectors, emphasizing the attractiveness of the Saudi market for Pakistani IT companies. He stressed the importance of ensuring smooth travel and visa procedures as Pakistani IT companies expand their presence and business operations in Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, Dr. Saif highlighted the abundant potential within Pakistan’s IT and Telecom workforce and encouraged Saudi technology companies to consider investing in Pakistan. He pointed out that Pakistan provides a conducive environment for investment.
Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki reciprocated the sentiment, expressing Saudi Arabia’s full willingness to collaborate with Pakistan in the IT and Telecom sector. He reassured that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is committed to providing comprehensive support to Pakistani IT companies when it comes to visa facilitation.
