PM Urges Elite to Empower Labour Class

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently expressed profound appreciation for the invaluable contributions of laborers and workers to the national economy during a gathering at his residence in Lahore in honor of International Labour Day. He called upon the affluent, businessmen, investors, and industrialists to prioritize enhancing the conditions of workers, recognizing their significant role in the economy.

In his address, the Prime Minister assured that the government remained steadfast in its commitment to improving the nation’s economic landscape through concerted efforts and genuine dedication. He expressed optimism that Pakistan would emerge as a formidable force, driven by a fair system rooted in the diligent efforts of both employers and employees.

Highlighting his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, Shehbaz emphasized the desire of Saudi leaders to see Pakistan progress on the path of development. He announced that a delegation of Saudi business and investors would soon visit Pakistan, fostering increased business activities and job opportunities.

Looking ahead to the upcoming fiscal budget, the Prime Minister pledged efforts to provide additional relief to the labor class, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the nation’s prosperity. He called upon business leaders and the affluent to extend their vision beyond personal interests and investments, urging them to allocate resources towards uplifting the disadvantaged through education and healthcare projects.

Shehbaz reiterated the government’s commitment to end corruption and ensure equal opportunities for all citizens, in line with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between the rich and the poor, citing the Quranic teachings and the Prophet’s messages as guiding principles.

Recalling his father’s background as a worker, the Prime Minister underscored the significance of laborers and workers in driving progress and prosperity. He emphasized the value of hard work as highlighted in the Quranic teachings and the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The gathering also featured Chairman PM Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, who highlighted various initiatives aimed at supporting the children of workers, including personal loan schemes and educational programs established during Shehbaz Sharif’s tenure as Chief Minister of Punjab.
