Sanam Saeed Addresses Controversy Over ‘Barzakh’ Series

Pakistani actress Sanam Saeed expressed contentment with the reception of her web series Barzakh, noting that despite recent controversies, the response aligned with her expectations. In an interview with Indian media, Saeed described the feedback as “overwhelming,” attributing the show’s appeal to its unique elements. She acknowledged that some viewers initially struggled with the show but believed that a closer look would clarify its themes.

Saeed also connected with her Indian fans, referring to them as “long-lost siblings” due to their shared cultural heritage, despite growing up in different environments. She found it heartening to reconnect with those who share her roots.

Abbasi defended the series against criticism, especially from those who find its themes controversial, stating that he will continue to support diverse stories and perspectives. Despite the backlash, Saeed remains positive about the support the show has received.
