Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Unveils ‘Taleem Card’ Initiative

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced the ‘Taleem Card’ project, starting with a pilot phase in Upper Chitral. Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur is overseeing the initiative, which seeks to enhance educational opportunities in underserved areas. He has called for immediate allocation of resources and instructed the education and finance departments to speed up their efforts to ensure students can access high-quality institutions.

The meeting also focused on broader educational improvements for remote regions. The Chief Minister assessed the needs of those displaced by a recent glacier outburst in Upper Chitral and has urged the creation of a long-term rehabilitation strategy. Additionally, he announced plans to build a new school in Shangla, honoring a commitment made to a high-achieving female student, thus underscoring the government’s dedication to expanding educational access.
