The Islamabad chief commissioner revoked the NOC for the PTI rally following a meeting held a day before the event was scheduled in the Tarnol area.
The decision was based on a report from the District Intelligence Committee, highlighting security concerns, particularly with the Bangladesh cricket team in Islamabad.

The district administration expressed concerns about crowd control, citing recent incidents where protesters reached the Supreme Court.
Due to these security challenges, the chief commissioner stated that permission for the rally could not be granted. PTI had planned the rally for August 22.
