Using cutting-edge technology and thorough research, a team of doctors enabled a colleague to operate remotely from Shanghai to remove a lung tumor from a patient in Kashgar.

Naresh Nambisan, a user on X, shared the video, stating, “A surgeon in China successfully excised a lung tumor from a patient while being 5,000 km away.

The doctor controlled the machine remotely from his office in Shanghai, while the patient was in Kashgar, on the other side of the country. The entire operation took just an hour.”
