Deathstroke Joins Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in Final Update, January 2025

The upcoming final update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, scheduled for January 2025, will introduce Deathstroke as a playable character. The iconic mercenary and antihero, Slade Wilson, will bring his expertise in both melee and ranged combat, enhanced by anti-grav tech for dynamic mobility.

Additionally, the update will transport the squad to a medieval-inspired Elseworld setting, where they face Brainiac’s invasion, offering a fresh change of scenery. This update marks the end of the game’s post-launch support.

To ensure long-term playability, the update will include an offline mode, allowing players to experience the game’s content even after online services conclude. This feature will allow fans to continue enjoying the game indefinitely, an appealing addition given recent trends of online game shutdowns.

Despite a rocky launch with declining engagement, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League remains available for $5 on the Xbox Store, making it an attractive offer for new players.

As for Rocksteady’s future, the studio is currently assisting Avalanche Software on a new edition of Hogwarts Legacy, but the next major project from Rocksteady remains unclear.
