Following the successful completion of the first phase of a military operation in the Kurram district, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has decided to resume the demolition of illegal bunkers and dispatch four convoys carrying essential supplies to the area by the end of the month. The decision was made in a high-level meeting chaired by K-P Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
In the district, security forces have intensified efforts with a house-to-house search operation in Bagan. Repair work has also begun on mosques damaged during recent unrest. Tragically, the bullet-ridden body of a fifth driver, missing after an attack on an aid convoy, was recovered from central Kurram. Four other drivers’ bodies had already been recovered earlier.
