Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised President Donald Trump’s recent address, describing it as a positive step for global peace and conflict resolution. He highlighted Trump’s role as a beacon of hope for peace worldwide. During his visit to Washington, Naqvi held separate meetings with US Congressmen Joe Wilson and Rob Wittman, where they discussed mutual interests and ways to strengthen Pakistan-US relations.
Naqvi assured the Congressmen of Pakistan’s full cooperation at all levels to advance bilateral ties and extended an invitation for them to visit Pakistan. He reiterated that the US is a vital strategic partner for Pakistan and expressed optimism that under Trump’s administration, their relationship would reach new heights. The discussions also touched on the importance of establishing sustainable peace, especially in Afghanistan.

The meetings also focused on increasing trade and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and the US, as well as expanding cooperation in various sectors. Naqvi emphasized the need for measures to address issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, also participated in these crucial talks.
Naqvi’s visit also included attending the Lincoln Liberty Ball dinner, where he received a warm reception from American officials and dignitaries. He met with several prominent figures, including Senator Tommy Tuberville, Congressman Ken Calvert, former British Prime Minister Liz Truss, and Mississippi Governor Philip Bryant. The discussions at the event were centered on enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and the US.
