Justice (retd) Faqir Khokhar, Head of Missing Persons Commission, Passes Away

Justice (retd) Faqir Khokhar, the newly appointed head of Pakistan’s Missing Persons Commission, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 80.

He had been struggling with health issues for some time and had only been appointed to the commission a week earlier.

At the time of his appointment, Justice Khokhar was receiving treatment at Services Hospital in Lahore, and his health had raised concerns.

His funeral will take place today in Lahore, with the funeral prayer scheduled for 4:15 PM after the Asr prayer.

The Missing Persons Commission, which was created in 2010 to investigate cases of enforced disappearances, was initially led by Justice (retd) Kamal Mansoor Alam.
