Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shibli Faraz has announced that the party will join hands with the opposition for nationwide protests against the government after Eid. Speaking outside the Peshawar High Court, he said that discussions with opposition parties are in the final stages and an alliance will be formed soon.
Faraz criticized the government’s one-year tenure, calling it the “darkest period” in Pakistan’s history. He accused the ruling party of passing laws through force and failing to address key issues like inflation, debt, and rising terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

The PTI leader also highlighted concerns over the expansion of the federal cabinet, calling it a reward for turncoats. He mentioned that while backdoor talks with the government have taken place, they have not yielded any results, making protests inevitable.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman is yet to finalize his party’s participation in the alliance. He has reportedly asked PTI for clarity on its leadership structure, particularly in Imran Khan’s absence. Negotiations are expected to conclude in the coming days.
