Lahore is experiencing an increase in temperatures, with the mercury expected to hit 40°C next week, as per the Meteorological Department’s forecast. Currently, Lahore’s maximum temperature is 34°C, and the temperature is at 31°C. Starting Sunday, the heatwave is expected to intensify, with no rain expected in the coming days.
Weather experts have warned of a continued rise in temperatures, urging the public to take necessary precautions against the heat. Continental air is affecting most parts of the country, keeping conditions hot and dry.

On Friday and Saturday, most regions are forecasted to experience hot and dry weather, with temperatures in Sindh and South Punjab expected to be 2 to 4°C above normal for the next few days.
In the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across most of the country, while light rain and drizzle were reported in isolated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Pothohar region.
Areas like Dir Upper (6mm), Dir Lower (1mm), Cherat (5mm), Malam Jabba (3mm), Kalam (2mm), and Astore (1mm) received some rainfall. The highest recorded temperatures yesterday were in Mithi (45°C), Shaheed Benazirabad (44°C), and Tando Jam & Chhor (43°C).
