Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar paid a one-day official visit to Kabul on Saturday, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss key regional issues with Afghanistan’s interim leadership.
Dar was received by senior Afghan officials and was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including secretaries from the interior and railways ministries, as well as representatives from the Foreign Office and Federal Board of Revenue.

During his visit, Dar held meetings with acting Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund and Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. Delegation-level talks covered a broad range of issues, focusing on trade, connectivity, security, and regional stability.
According to the Foreign Office, the visit reflects Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to productive engagement with Afghanistan. Discussions also included Pakistan’s concerns regarding terrorist sanctuaries, with hopes for constructive dialogue on the matter.
The visit came amid renewed diplomatic activity between the two nations, including recent meetings held in both Islamabad and Kabul to enhance cooperation on security and economic fronts.
